Ogoh-ogoh Museum Mengwi is the first museum specifically to preserve one of the most popular Balinese traditions (ogoh-ogoh), which is located not too far from Taman Ayun Temple, Mengwi District, Badung Regency.
Ogoh-ogoh is demonic statue in Balinese mythology made of bamboo and other materials that performed on Pengerupukan – a day before Nyepi day. The ogoh-ogoh takes various forms with their own stories and philosophies made by Balinese young generation.
Inside this museum, there are more than 20 ogoh-ogoh from various regions in Bali, especially Badung Regency.
The entrance ticket for adults: IDR 10K and for children IDR 5K.
